About
Once upon a blog ago, there was Kelly’s World, a chaotic little corner of the internet where for 20 years I over-shared my thoughts and the occasional questionable gadget purchase. But after years of typing into the void, I realised it was time for a fresh start. A new blog…a new home. And preferably, with a bad pun in its name.
Welcome to Kel Me About It!
Hello, I’m Kel.

Kel me about it….Kel….geddit? Yep, this is why I write semi-anonymously instead of trying to get paid for this gig.
I love a good list almost as much as I love crossing things off one. Every year I write a 52-in-52 list, basically 52 goals to complete in 52 weeks, because apparently I think I have more time than I actually do. Sometimes the goals are big (like travelling or learning a new skill), sometimes they’re small (like finally booking in that appointment I’ve put off for about 5 years), and sometimes they’re just there so I can say “look, I did a thing!”
Sometimes I get the list done, sometimes I don’t. OK full disclosure, I’ve finished the entire list in one year only once. But it’s a great way to look back at the year and realise that I did something that year. Much better than blinking and wondering where the time went.
I’m married, talk way too much, and am the proud parent of a kid who shares my love of Eurovision, much to my husband’s dismay. I love Eurovision more than is socially acceptable. I have a soft spot for bad jokes and good music, and tend to overthink everything. I write a lot, and sometimes I write a lot about nothing, but eh, it’s fine, and hopefully amusing to read.

This blog is a collection of the randomness of my life: things my family and I do, stuff I’ve bought, crafts I’ve attempted (successfully or not), books I’m reading, and the random thoughts that pop into my head and refuse to leave. If that sounds like your kind of chaos, then welcome. You’re in good company.
